Product Description The hot new novel in the Black Dagger Brotherhood by the #1 New York Times bestselling author
John Matthew has come a long way since he was found living among humans, his vampire nature unknown. Taken in by The Brotherhood, no one could guess what his true history was-or his true identity.

LOVE LOVED LOVED THIS BOOK April 28, 2010 cocoa (north carolina) 10 out of 16 found this review helpful
i was kind of afraid of the pairing of john matthew and xhex..didn't understand why he would be attracted to her. but after reading this book in one day..yeah in one day. i was shocked and amazed at this storyline. yeah there was some flashbacks concerning darius and tohr..but at the end of the book i got it.xhex was destined to be darius mate. but he died before that came to be. but another thing i got he had to have some struggles like she did to appreciate the woman she became. i love this book. i always thought bella and z book was my favorite. but i just go another one. if u haven't read anything by this author please run fast and check out the brotherhood. u will love this series as much i do..so i am recommending this book with a 2 thumbs up..
Don't Blame Ward For Delayed Kindle Release. April 29, 2010 Tizer Burton 10 out of 16 found this review helpful
It is so unfair of people to leave 1 star reviews when they haven't even read the book. I had Lover Mine pre-ordered on my kindle and was gutted when I got the email last week telling me it wouldn't be available straight away. Amazon sent me a hardback copy which arrived on 28th April and charged me the kindle price - thank you Amazon. I am still disappointed because the rest of the collection is on my kindle but it would be totally out of order to let that affect my star rating for the story.
I did a 10 hour reading marathon yesterday and have nearly finished - it's great to be back in the Brotherhood world again. I agree with other reviews that say the slang can be distracting/ over the top and the two side stories interrupt the flow but these are minor points, in a series this long with so many fans it would be impossible to please everyone. The only other series I stuck with for so long was Harry Potter and the fans went through exactly the same stages of praise and criticism. Authors like JR Ward have the ability to create such a vivid world that you feel very protective of your favourite characters and places. I don't think any book could compete with Lover Eternal (Rhage and Mary) or Lover Awakened (Bella and Zsadist) for me but they are off the scale and I don't use them as a yard stick.
I really enjoyed this latest slice of BDB life, was relieved to actually like Xhex and believe she was good enough for JM. It was also great to see Tohr and JM coming back together in this story. Tohr has had such a terrible time after losing Whellsie, can he get a little bit of happy soon? Loved the continuing arc of Quinne and Blays relationship with the denial Q is going through. Can't wait for the next one, Payne and Manny?
John Grew Up July 4, 2010 Melissa A. Tackett (Las Vegas, NV) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
John Matthew has had his eye on Xhex since the frist time he saw her, now she is missing, he knows it is at the hands of the Omega's son. He isn't giving up till he finds her, then when he does, he doesn't give up till he makes her realize that they belong together.
A very moving, gripping tale that has been 6 stories in coming to a head. Loved it.
great book- worth the wait. July 5, 2010 Ima Reader 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Great book, worth the wait. The story of John Michael was well told. The only glitch in the book: everybody finger-spells their American Sign Language. There's one passage in a bathroom where long, angry lectures are supposed to be being entirely finger-spelled- not believable. There's more to American Sign Language than finger spelling, a lot more. The story was beautiful, powerful, and a great tribute to the series. I'd give the book an A+ except for the ASL goof - it gets a solid A from me. Read the entire series - all terrific books.
Great Story - Kindle Edition, Not So Much! July 9, 2010 Tori 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I love this series. J.R. Ward is consistently entertaining and doesn't disappoint with this installment by picking up right where we left off in Lover Avenged. I don't want to give away any spoilers, so my review will be focused on the Kindle edition of Lover Mine.
First, I want to make it clear that I love my Kindle. I really do, but when I bought my Kindle it was with the understanding that the books would be $9.99. When this book FINALLY came out for the Kindle, it was $12.99, not $9.99 (as are many others are too). Ok, so I understand that Amazon and the book publishers are having a tiff of sorts, fine, I wanted to read this badly enough to pay the money and download it. In less than 60 seconds it was on my Kindle, but with some flaws. The formatting was a disaster. Did anyone proof this before it was approved for the Kindle? Clearly not. So, basically, you'll pay more, for an embarrassing mess not only for the publisher, but Amazon. If you are like me and you need to read it now and can't wait for it to come out in paperback, then go to your local library and get yourself on the wait list, it's free.
